Less talking, let’s watching :

Me manifesto

(en français ici)

I run for me,
I breathe for me,
I stand up for me,
I go to bed for me.

I have respect for myself,
I work, or I don’t, for me
I take care of myself for me.
I smile and cry for me,

I create and destroy for me,
I face problems for me,
I seize opportunities for me.

More by humanism than for selfish reasons.

How would you be there for Them,
if you are not there for you?

Think about yourself first to be actually available,
So that a crisis of introspection does not make you fallible.

No pose a knee on the ground,
Because you share your Life with someone.

Existentialism + selfishness = Altruism

I think, to me,
Therefore I am, here for Them.

Adam Wolf

Doubt thou the stars are fire,
Doubt that the sun doth move,
Doubt truth to be a liar,
But never doubt I love.
W. Shakespeare, Hamlet, Act 2, Scene 2.

Pour moi

(In english here)

Don’t play with big D
in french

This is the story of a woman who explodes the tire of her car turning sharp too close to a treacherous sidewalk.
Once in the garage to install a spare tire, it turned out that the flat wheel had become worn out. Therefore, it could have blown anytime and anywhere, either in a bend in town at 20 km /h or on a motorway at more than 100 km/ h.
Usually, this is her husband who takes care of routine maintenance of the car. She had therefore never even checked the wearing of the tires, or even asked if he would actually take care of the car…
What if?

Is it worth saving ten minutes to check or ask if it’s ok instead of playing Russian roulette with the Grim Reaper?
Should we regularly check the trust we have granted ?
Is Destiny really nothing but a concept ?

Ne pas jouer avec le Destin
in english

Quand ils rient, ils exultent,

Pourquoi ?

Au crépuscule par la société imposé,
Qui est encore là ?
Qui n’est pas las ?
Qui regarde, encore, “là bas” ?

A quoi bon l’éternité ?

About coffee and us
I started drinking coffee since the naughties (decency does not allow you to estimate my age: o)
First I drank it espresso with a huge amount of sugar. I gradually put less and less and then no more sugar at all. In parallel I started drinking coffee more and more american style. It never has been matter of pouring any kind of milk into it (while I am a big consumer of milk and dairy products!), So far, I’ve had a latte here, a cappuccino there. In parallel, I’ve not drunk so much coffee. Full circle.

Your colleagues, your family, people around you, you ! We all follow our own « coffee circle. » environment change, repositories too, we adapt ourself, or don’t …

An inventory, an answer and a decision taken at a time “t” are not unchanging. If you really want to get something, repeat later then, say it differently but do not consider past events as engraved on stones forever.
Come what may, remain open minded, be attentive to your environment, the ecosystem in which you operate.
Adapt yourself, without getting lost or sidetracked.

stay hungry, stay foolish.Be yourself.

Catch the clouds
Looking out the window with my two-year godson, he suddenly said “clouds”, pointing at the sky and then “catching the clouds.” I answered that it was impossible to do so with our hands ; we would rather need a rocket, an airplane or a cloud net, instead !
When somebody dares to ask an open question off the beaten track, the replies often take a leaf out of certainties from popular conventions, beliefs whose roots are obscured and pseudoscientific and also from personal experiences, therefore biased.
This is what television, so-called adults, school and other institutions broadcast us.
Imperious answer, without any discussion: “no / yes”
A start of answer, more or less imbued with originality: “in doing this or that”
Open answer (very scarce): “What do you think? What would you do?”
Who teaches us dreaming, trying, failing, recovering, questioning, and persevering?
What kind of answers do you usually use with your family, colleagues, strangers, or even yourself?
Next time, step back and listen to your answer(s).
What do you think about it? Honestly, from you to you.

We are all creators

Every day we assemble our world : reusing items out of their contexts, actions and reactions from our relatives, expectations and choices.
So many bricks that once attached by the fluid mortar of life, make up our Universe.
Comparable to DNA for a Scientist,
and the blows of fate for the Almighty,
we test, modify, match our sparks of life, fragments of lives,
make mistakes, sometimes on purpose, and often (un)fortunately.
looking for comfort, thrill, happiness, more than yesterday, less than tomorrow, we have been making mistakes.

Go ahead, try, fail, try again, never stop.Samsara and serendipity.

And you, what is your most «beautiful» mistake?

… Because YOU can

Stop fighting,
giving up, no longer believing,
feeling bogged down, covered with plaster,
any drink becomes a sea to drink.

One step forward, ten backwards,
it’s so reassuring, reveling in the past.
Except that yesterday doesn’t make tomorrow,
and is not sufficient to make today pleasant.

Samsara, Life is a series of ordeals, of more or less significant sufferings, depending on everybody’s references.
None of them are neutral.

One must not consider sufferings and failures as a conclusion. They are some steps, rarely planned, hardly anticipated but often difficult to overcome and much more rewarding than the peaceful times of success.

It is obvious that a certain level of social comfort is required to get the privilege of stopping there, taking some time to think without worrying about answering his primary needs. A minimal pedestal, on which we can rest, facilitates apprehension, analysis and reaction when we are in view of the trials of life.

Never forget: No (wo)man is an island.

And you? what are your foundations ?

Never stop fighting …

I am away

Unavailable, away, gone, vacation, unreachable, off-network (!)
Words that in the e-spirit of the time have become synonymous with leakage, abandonment, inefficiency.

“Thanks” to the profusion of connections, we have the possibility to answer instantly everybody’s requests coming from everywhere. Digital omnipresence and e-social ubiquity place us in the heart of the Grid. Wherever we are, accessible to all our friends, colleagues, family members, indifferently, with indifference (?) …

Writing back e-mails is not an incentive to put them away.
Giving one more time the same information does not encourage people to write them down.
Answering back the same question does not require people to listen carefully.

Is it about eggs and hen? Who started ?
Again, the same and wrong question.

The only question is :
- Who will start stopping and saying “STOP”?!

The only answer is: “You.”

Let’s start tomorrow
- Return for the very last time this same e-mail,
- Re-explain once and for all the process,
- Repeat one last time this same answer.
State clearly that this is and will be the last time.
And STOP!

STOP.
Say it, write it down, record it on your answering machine:
“I’m away”
And then, watch, watch your World.
Watch it rustling, vibrating, expanding, shrinking and readjusting without needing to intervention.

From now on what are you going to do with all this free time ?

About eggs and hens

"If we do not lie to our customers, They are the ones who manipulate us"
Who?
Who started ?
Does it begin lying with good intentions (?) To fix things, not to offend, to avoid conflict (!)
“Lying has never hurt” (car 3ème personne).
“If she does not know about it, there’s no consequence”
“Lying is better than a big shouting match”
When to start? where to stop? Who controls, validates, approves?!
Or not.

And if that was not the point ?
If lying and manipulating were like crutches, some splints whose origin and purpose have been forgotten, so practical and reassuring, though, like the small wheels that are fixed on a bike to learn pedaling.
Small wheels that we might have forgotten to remove and which we would not dare do without, for fear of something
Fear of being less efficient, different from others, fear of falling

Who ?
Who will start ?
Being honest, without utopia, without exacerbated idealism, without ulterior motives, just being frank and honest.
Taking the risk of being possibly manipulated, being less efficient, falling, having to face the honesty from others (!).

Remove the small wheels, go forth, together, free.

« the foundation stones for a balanced success are honesty, character, integrity, faith, love and loyalty. »
Zig Ziglar

We can not do everything

Hardly got up, the day is over.
Meetings, ToDo List, unexpected demands and priorities of all kinds.
Starting everything, finishing nothing, not going deeper, retaining only a few bits, elements and details often anecdotal.
When traveling, so many places to discover, food to taste, itineraries to optimize, already exhausted, feeling nothing because of “not time enough” BECAUSE of Time …

Really ?
We can’t do everything, know everything, read everything and see everything.
Life is too short, too much information, astronomic quantity of data.
Saturation in ambush.
What’s the purpose ? in the end.

Why ?
A thirst for knowledge: knowing better, knowing more.
Having seen, done, heard, eaten and experienced.
For whom?

Transmission?
Experience is valuable only if transmitted.
The accumulation of knowledge is only meaningful if shared and confronted with others’.

1 + 1 = 3
n + n = n times more background noise.

What do you really want to do?
In what area will the transmission of your knowledge benefit others and future generations?

Try, just try, take your time, choose an area, dig deep and pass on.

D@vid.
